The Build
A brand new 500cc fuel-injected two-stroke, built from the ground up in the DocWob workshop. This is not a restoration. There are no secondhand parts, no eBay-sourced engine components, no compromises. The base bike is a brand new 2026 Honda CRF 450, UK-supplied by the John Banks Group, and every single component in the Tomasin T500 conversion is new.
The Tomasin T500 kit replaces the CRF 450's four-stroke engine with a purpose-built 500cc two-stroke powerplant. The original Honda CRF 450 electric start and hydraulic clutch are retained, so you get all the convenience of the CRF with a 500cc two-stroke engine underneath. The result is a modern chassis, modern ergonomics, and a two-stroke motor that has no business being this usable.
Engine
The T500 engine is built around full billet crankcases fitted with all bearings, seals, and titanium studs. The crank is a balanced HRC-style unit with titanium weights, eliminating the need for a heavy balance shaft. The custom-cast cylinder is paired with a billet reed block and designed to sit higher in the frame, integrating properly with the CRF 450's low-mounted shock and overhead airbox layout. The top end runs a Vertex piston.
The engine is highly ported and capable of producing around 80 horsepower, but it has been specifically tuned for torque and rideable power rather than outright peak figures. The exhaust is a cone pipe and silencer, with titanium pipe options available.
Additional hardware includes an electric water pump and a billet clutch cover with hydraulic clutch operation.
Electronics & Fuel Delivery
The T500 runs a dedicated Tomasin ECU with five selectable engine maps, designed to integrate with the standard CRF 450 electronics. Fuel injection is fully mapped and calibrated from the factory.
The bike also comes with remote mapping support directly from Tomasin in Italy. If you need map adjustments or troubleshooting, Enrico Tomasin can remote into your laptop and make changes in real time.

Before You Buy
The T500's fuel injection system requires a specific thinner two-stroke oil, supplied by Tomasin in Italy. Standard two-stroke premix oil is not compatible. Details and ongoing supply can be arranged through DocWob.
About Tomasin Racing
The T500 kit is designed and manufactured by Tomasin R&D in Vicenza, Italy. The company was founded in 2008 by Enrico Tomasin, who has worked with factory teams including Honda HRC and Ducati across World Superbike, World Supersport, and MXGP as an engine and electronics specialist. Tomasin R&D produces conversion kits for Honda, KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas platforms, and supplies ECU and engine development services to race teams at world championship level.
