The DocWob Team
Rob Walters
AKA DocWob
"Le Grande Fromage"
Rob started racing AMCA in the early 80's but soon ran out of talent as a rider so turned his hand to becoming a professional mechanic in 1986, becoming a GP mechanic by 1988. He opened an MX store 'RAW Motocross' in Worcester in 1989 - 1993 moving straight onto his stateside career, with his first year in the USA following the Supercross and Outdoor Nationals, this successful mechanic career continued through to 2002 where he got to be a full factory wrench and is still the only mechanic to have built bikes that have won both AMA National titles and FIM World Championships.
Rob went on to be the "Global Athlete service" for Smith Optics, and at the same time became the founding editor of MOTO Magazine where he contributed to every issue.
Doc Wob Imports was formed in 2005 importing bikes and parts direct from teams, plus N-Style graphics. Fast forward several years Doc Wob has moved into manufacturing their own brand of factory replica hard parts, tools and titanium fixings & fasters which are used by the majority of teams in the Grand Prix paddock, as well as some heavy hitters in the USA.
More recently Doc Wob has branched out into event promotion with the UK's biggest race - VMXdN Foxhill as well as the Farleigh Castle Vets MX event, plus an increasingly popular online presence with the DocWobTV YouTube channel and Torq Moto Podcast
Clare Walters
AKA "The Voice of Reason"
Office Manager
Clare is not only the shared owner of Doc Wob Ltd, she is the boss's wife! She keeps on top of the day to day running of the Doc Wob businesses, alongside being event secretary for VMXdN Foxhill and Farleigh Castle Vets MX events. She certainly has her hands full keeping everything in line! To quote Shakespeare "she may be small but she is fierce".
Tony Neary
Workshop Manager
Tony has been a professional mechanic since he left school, was a schoolboy racer from the age of 14, and started as a pro MX mechanic in 1998. He became a Grand Prix mechanic in 2001 with Justin Morris and Yamaha UK, before moving over to Motovision with Yoshi Atsuta, Nev Bradshaw and Tanel Leok.
Tony started working with Doc Wob in 2007 where he is now the workshop manager (and Wobs right hand man). He has been involved with bikes builds for the likes of Mike Brown, John Dowd, Jeff Ward, JMB, Ron Lechein, Ryan Hughes, Tommy Searle, Ryan Villopoto, Damon Bradshaw and many more, that's some CV I'm sure you will agree.
Harvey James
Sales Manager
Harv has been with Docwob since he first came on work experience in school. He has been instrumental in putting the sales and stocking systems in place, manages the busy eBay store, this website store and manages the day to day running of the sales side - as well as handling the orders from the professional teams which is no mean feat in itself.
He has a wealth of knowledge across the business and is an active motocross racer himself, he rides a modern YZ 250 in the AMCA expert class and has an Evo YZ 125 which he has raced at Foxhill so he can 'get on'!
Martin Payne
Engineering & Titanium Specialist
Prior to his employment at Doc Wob Martin had an illustrious thirty year career with the MOD as an engineer in special operations and R&D so he is super experienced in all things associated with the engineering side of the Doc Wob business.
Martin is instrumental in the material specifications and processes, as well as the design and development of Doc Wob own brand titanium and aluminium parts - he comes in super handy when the workshop guys drop into the fully equipped on- machine room, needing custom machining on bike builds at the drop of a hat!
